A man who'd been making the beginning of my workdays sound that little bit better has left us.

As someone who now lives quite rural, listening to Radio Milwaukee online this past year and change has been a healthy lifeline to a larger city (albeit not the city I was born or raised in) and world - especially musically - in that way that the best of old-school radio seemed to do with relative ease.

My thoughts are with his family and with the Radio Milwaukee and overall DJ communities at this time...

RadioMilwaukee’s morning host, DJ Rock Dee, passed away Friday afternoon, August 1.

Rock was a huge part of the 88Nine family. He was loved, respected and we miss him.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Rock Dee. Tentative plans have been made for an August 17 fundraiser for Rock’s family. Details will be forthcoming. For now, we are all taking time to mourn his passing.
